Threw this website together after the showcase on Reddit and Discord blew up for some kind :-)
Some parts of Textique will be open-sourced in the near future (plugins, parts of the engine), internal parts will still be kept closed
I hate subscriptions - period! There will be a free trial on this site, which does allow you to use the application without saving / exporting
The application itself will be a one-time payment of around 12$. Buy once - keep it forever!
good to know: the money you invest into this software is also going to bake the open-source projects behind it (typst etc)
Any Mac that is capable of running atleast macOS 12 or so called Monterey
Currently Textique is intended to support Typst, Markdown and reStructuredText
On the agenda are also extensions to support Atlassian-type syntax, Hugo live rendering and more
good to know: you can bring any kind of typesetter / compiler which is able to generate PDF stream data
The application itself is written in Swift using SwiftUI with some abstractions to Objective-C. The core parts, as the engine for example or the bridge are written in Rust!
